AI Alt Text Generator sends an image for processing only when you ask for its alt text. The image is used to write the description and is not stored.
Data kept in your browser
- Your settings.
It stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension.
Data sent to our server
- The image you select and related page details, when you ask for alt text. Nothing is sent before that.
Our server keeps technical logs (such as your IP address and the page's domain, never the image) to fix errors and prevent abuse. Logs are deleted automatically after a limited time.
Services that process data for us
- A cloud hosting provider runs our server and stores its logs.
- A third-party AI service processes the request to write the alt text.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising.
- Use it for anything other than the extension's single purpose described above.
- Use it to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
- Track your browsing history or activity on other sites.
The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Feedback and uninstall surveys
If you choose to fill in our feedback form or the survey that opens after you uninstall, your answers are collected with Google Forms. They contain only what you type, and we use them only to improve the extension. Google's privacy policy applies to Google Forms.

Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
